About this Project

Evans Electrical was appointed to deliver an energy efficiency upgrade for Romilly Primary School, with a focus on modernising internal and external lighting systems. This project forms part of the school’s wider sustainability goals to reduce carbon emissions, lower energy bills, and improve the learning environment for pupils and staff.

The scope of works included the safe isolation and strip-out of outdated fluorescent lighting, which was replaced with modern LED alternatives. The works enhance energy performance across key areas of the school, including the sports hall, staff areas, WCs, and external pathways.

Scope of Works

Safe isolation and strip-out of existing lighting in the sports hall
Environmentally responsible disposal of fluorescent lamps and batteries
Installation of new 1500mm linear LED and emergency lighting in the sports hall
Replacement of tea room and WC lighting with 600 x 600 LED and emergency fittings
Manual switching retained using existing control points
Full replacement of existing external lighting with LED equivalents
Installation of LED bollards along the new accessible path (ducting and civils by others)
