About this Project

Evans Electrical was appointed to deliver the full electrical services package for HMRC’s flagship Regional Centre Offices in Cardiff, a cornerstone of the UK Government’s estate modernisation programme. Designed to bring together thousands of staff into a single, modernised hub, the new facility provides over 250,000 sq. ft. of high-quality office space, supporting HMRC’s vision of an efficient, collaborative, and digitally enabled workplace.

Situated in Cardiff’s city centre, the project involved the full fit-out of a new-build Grade A office building. The facility incorporates open-plan office areas, collaboration hubs, secure server rooms, meeting and training spaces, a café, and staff welfare areas. A key driver for the project was sustainability, with the offices designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent and align with the government’s Net Zero Carbon commitments.

Evans Electrical worked closely with the main contractor, HMRC’s estates team, and specialist suppliers to deliver a resilient, secure, and future-proofed electrical infrastructure. Works were carried out within a busy urban environment with stringent programme milestones and strict compliance requirements, including robust security measures in line with government operational standards.
