About this Project

Baytree Specialist School is a leading specialist education facility for children and young people with Severe and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). As part of an expansion project in Clevedon, North Somerset, a new building was created off Brookfield Walk to accommodate circa 80 pupils.

The purpose-built campus was designed to meet a wide range of complex needs, with adaptations such as integral hoists for pupils with limited mobility, sensory rooms, provision across a single level for those unable to use stairs, and enhanced outdoor learning spaces. The project will have a hugely positive impact on more local pupils than ever before, offering opportunities for education, independence and inclusion.

Evans Electrical were appointed as the electrical contractor for this education sector project, delivering a full range of electrical services from design through to commissioning. Our expertise in specialist school electrical installations ensured that every element met the highest standards for safety, accessibility, and sustainability. A key feature of the works was the installation of a 29.250 kWp Solar PV system, demonstrating our commitment to renewable energy solutions for schools and helping to reduce the school’s long-term energy costs and carbon footprint.
