About this Project

Evans Electrical was appointed by Sigma 3 Kitchens, the UK’s highest-rated kitchen renovation service provider, to deliver the full electrical installation for their brand-new 130,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Bridgend. The facility was designed to support the company’s rapid growth, increasing both production capacity and office accommodation. This fast-track 8-month project included the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of state-of-the-art electrical systems to create a modern, efficient, and sustainable manufacturing hub. Works included

low-voltage distribution, lighting, EV charging, structured cabling, and advanced fire and security systems. By integrating innovative, energy-efficient technology, the facility is future-proofed to meet long-term operational and environmental goals.

Evans Activities Comprised:

Low Voltage Distribution: Full installation of switchgear, sub-main cabling, and containment.
Lighting Systems: General, emergency, intelligent lighting controls, and external floodlighting.
EV Charging Infrastructure: Supply and installation of 22kW twin chargers.
Life Safety Systems: Fire alarm installation, disabled refuge system, and lightning protection.
Security & Communications: CCTV system, Access control & intercom, Intruder alarm system, Public address system.
Structured Cabling: Data and communications infrastructure.
Mechanical & Specialist Connections: Electrical connections for plant and fixed specialist equipment.
Electric Heating Installation.
Earthing & Bonding: Including surge protection.
Testing & Commissioning: Ensuring compliance and operational readiness.
Ongoing Maintenance Services: Comprehensive aftercare and support.
