About this Project

Project Overview

Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar is a new 210-place Welsh medium ‘seedling’ primary school with co-located childcare facilities, delivered as part of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council’s strategic commitment to expanding Welsh language education across the county borough. With demand for Welsh medium education continuing to grow, the new school provides modern, flexible and inclusive learning environments for pupils and staff, while supporting the long-term objectives of the Council’s Welsh in Education Strategic Plan.

Our Role

Evans Electrical Limited was appointed to deliver the complete electrical installation for the new-build school, from incoming power infrastructure through to specialist education, security, renewable energy and audiovisual systems. Our scope of works covered design development, installation, testing, commissioning, BIM coordination and post-completion support.

Working closely with the wider project team, we ensured that all systems were delivered safely, compliantly and in line with the Council’s sustainability and operational requirements, while minimising disruption and supporting a smooth transition into occupation.
