About this Project

Overview

Evans Facility Services and Evans Energy delivered a coordinated electrical and renewable energy package across four Blue Self Storage sites in Bristol, Bridgend, Llanishen and Treforest.

This multi-site project required a consistent, high-quality approach while adapting to varying site layouts, supply capacities, and operational requirements.

The Project

Working across all four locations, our scope included:

Incoming electrical services and LV distribution
External lighting and security integration
EV charging infrastructure
Small power and landlord/tenant supplies
Solar PV systems with battery storage

Each site was designed to provide safe, efficient, and future-ready infrastructure, supporting both operational performance and long-term sustainability.

What We Delivered

Reliable Power Infrastructure

We installed and upgraded incoming supplies and distribution systems, including high-capacity three-phase boards, surge protection, and fully compliant earthing systems.

Smart Lighting & Security Integration

Energy-efficient LED lighting was installed across all sites, with intelligent controls linked to CCTV and access systems, ensuring lighting responds dynamically to site activity.

EV Charging for Future Growth

Each site was equipped with a mix of 22kW and 7kW EV chargers, designed to support increasing demand and allow for future software integration.

Renewable Energy Systems

All four sites benefit from integrated solar and battery systems:

10.68 kWp solar PV per site
23kWh battery storage
Up to 10,500 kWh annual generation

These systems reduce operational costs and support Blue Self Storage’s sustainability goals.

Flexible, Future-Proof Design

Installations were designed with scalability in mind, allowing for tenant expansion, system upgrades, and evolving operational needs.
