Project Overview

The Evans Group was recently appointed to deliver the electrical design and installation for a Cat B office fit-out at Cardiff Gate Business Park. The project focused on transforming a shell office space into a fully functional, modern working environment tailored to the client’s operational and aesthetic requirements.

Our scope combined practical electrical infrastructure with high-quality feature lighting to support both productivity and workplace experience.

Scope of Works

Our team provided a full electrical design and installation package, including:

Design and installation of feature lighting to enhance the visual appeal and create a contemporary workspace
Installation of 3-compartment dado trunking to accommodate new power and data requirements
Provision of new power outlets and data points throughout the office
Relocation of floor boxes to align with revised desk layouts
Electrical supplies to tea points including small power and equipment connections
Installation of power and data services for seating booths and breakout areas

All works were carefully coordinated with other trades to ensure seamless integration within the overall fit-out programme.

A key challenge on this project was adapting the electrical infrastructure to suit the evolving office layout while maintaining a clean and modern finish.

Designing a flexible containment system using 3-compartment trunking to allow for future adaptability
