Wiltshire College

The £21 million, three winged landmark campus building accommodates 9,200sqm of state-of-the-art teaching space. Chippenham boasts the latest equipment and industry standard workshops for technical and professional study in construction, engineering, motor vehicle, music, media, art, hair and beauty and IT. AWW has designed this innovative building to BREEAM Excellent standard. Denise Lloyd, Assistant Principal, praised the new building; “It is such an intelligent and inspiring piece of architecture and will support the innovative teaching and learning and the increasing growth in student numbers.

MVTC

Completion of the multi-million pound Motor Vehicle Training Centre of Excellence in Ystrad Mynach is set to put learners from the area at the forefront of major developments in the industry in South Wales. The £2.1m facility at Coleg y Cymoedd’s Ystrad Mynach campus meets the growing demands in the industry for state-of-the-art training facilities. The new centre provides industry-leading motor vehicle repair, maintenance workshops, as well as diagnostic and testing facilities for over 60 learners each year.

The Atrium

A modern, iconic conference venue in the heart of the Capital city. . The ATRIUM spans over four floors with an amazing spiral staircase through its centre. The 4th floor Zen Room offers a great space to inspire creativity. With studios available for recording and performing, a boardroom with video conferencing facilities and plenty of general meeting rooms , there are plenty of spaces available to suit any event.

WJEC Cardiff

This 6,000sqm, five storey building provides carefully tailored office accommodation for WJEC, the organisation which delivers a variety of education and assessment services across Wales and England, including the setting and awarding of GCSEs and A-levels. The building also includes a raft of eco-friendly features to reduce energy consumption including an exposed structure to provide thermal mass; natural ventilation and day lighting; a highly insulating building envelope; and energy efficient heating and lighting systems.

St. William's House

A prestigious 138,000 sq ft office development providing quality and adaptable office accommodation at the hub of Cardiff's public transport network. Recognised as the largest single tenant let in Wales of its time. Once completed, it was let to Lloyd's TSB PLC. One Central Square

One Central Square, a 135,000 sq ft BREEAM Excellent office building was completed March 2016. The 800,000 sq ft development will be office-led, but with a mixture of uses, providing high quality commercial, civic, residential, hotel, leisure and retail space in a carefully planned and managed environment. Leader of the City of Cardiff Council, Phil Bale said 'Central Square is the key gateway to Cardiff and the wider city region for many potential investors, residents and visitors, and so its role in providing a positive image for Cardiff and Wales cannot be underestimated.'

Blaenavon Primary Care Resource Centre

LSP, in conjunction with Assura are pleased to have completed another primary care scheme in Wales. The new Blaenavon Primary Care Resource Centre forms part of an innovative £18 million Integrated Community Campus which is being delivered by Aneurin Bevan Health Board and Torfaen County Borough Council. The Resource Centre will include a new home for the nearby Carregwen Surgery, pharmacy, dentistry, a range of therapies, community nursing and health visiting and screening services.

Callaghan Square

Costing £15 million, Rightacres have developed two new office spaces, which have a combined floor area of 112,024 sq ft and are located in the heart of Cardiff's central business district. The new development is home to some of Cardiff's most high-profile organisations, including British Gas, the British Transport Police Authority and Zurich Insurance. Capital Quarter

No2 Capital Quarter is a new 7 storey landmark development in the heart of Cardiff City Centre's Enterprise Zone, completed April 2016. The building consists of 85,077 sq ft of high calibre office space, meeting the technical specification and environmental considerations of the most sophisticated occupier. This is accentuated by Automatic Daylight Dimming & Occupancy & Controlled LED lighting to offices and circulation, giving the building its BREEAM rating Excellent.

Cardiff & Vale College

It is one of the most ambitious educational projects in Wales and Cardiff and Vale College's (CAVC) new campus in the centre of the capital opened its doors to students in September 2015.

The new £45m campus covers 172,000 sq ft. It also features on its roof the largest photovoltaic array - solar panels - in the region, a dedicated science, technology, engineering and maths centre (STEM) and music, film and dance studios.

The development in the heart of the Central Cardiff Enterprise Zone at Dumballs Road, which is aimed at attracting companies in the financial and professional services firms.

CSAD

CARDIFF Met alumnus and celebrity fashion designer David Emanuel officially opened Cardiff School of Art & Design's new £14m state of the art building. Mr Emanuel said: This is a beautiful new building that signifies a very exciting time for fine art, design and making in Cardiff, Wales and beyond. This new creative space offers the perfect setting for CSAD and its hugely talented staff and students to thrive. The new and refurbished accommodation for Cardiff School of Art & Design, which is a centre of excellence and high performance in both research and teaching; was designed by award winning architects Austin-Smith: Lord, who also designed the Riverfront Theatre, Newport, as well as the Cardiff School of Management.

Driscoll Buildings

Driscoll Buildings is the first development phase of the 750,000 sq ft Capital Quarter city centre scheme. The initial phase comprised two detached office buildings extending to 16,845 sq ft and 20,019 sq ft. The buildings have been designed to BREEAM Very Good standards.

The Capital Quarter scheme offers a host of opportunities for bespoke commercial, student, hotel and resdential development opportunities.

Fillwood Green

The BREEAM outstanding workspace offers a mixture of B1/B2 workshop, studio and office space for small and medium sized businesses with an environmental ethos. New start and home based businesses are also welcome to join the Work Hub - a flexible shared space with workstations, and formal and informal meeting spaces. The site is attractively landscaped, set adjacent to a wildlife area, park and football pitch with outdoor seating areas, secure cycle storage, car parking and electric vehicle charging points. The Filwood Green Business Park has won three awards that recognise its design quality and outstanding environmental credentials.

Institute of Life Sciences - Swansea University

The Institute of Life Science (ILS) is Wales' premier purpose-built medical research facility. It is a collaboration between Swansea University and the Welsh Government, together with Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University (ABMU) Health Board, IBM and industry and business partners. It is the single largest investment ever made by the Welsh Government on any university campus. The vision for the ILS is to advance medical science through multi- and interdisciplinary research and innovation for the benefit of human health, and to link those benefits to the economy by encouraging interaction with other organisations in a spirit of Open Innovation.

Manchester Hotel

MACDONALD Hotels spent £33 million developing the hotel site in Manchester. Opened in October 2007, the hotel is glass-clad and facilities include conference and event amenities capable of holding up to 280 delegates. Chairman Donald Macdonald said: 'This hotel is certainly one of the group's most ambitious developments to date and gives Manchester a contemporary and luxurious hotel whilst retaining the heritage of one of its well-known landmarks.'


Cardiff School of Management

The £13 million Cardiff School of Management building is the first phase of a redevelopment master-plan for Cardiff Metropolitan University's Llandaff Campus. It provides purpose designed accommodation for a total of 160 staff and approximately 2000 students totalling approximately 7800 square metres of floor space.

The Client required a signature building of high architectural quality and that the design addressed sustainability issues and achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.

The award winning building was delivered ahead of programme and under budget at just 1600/sqm. The design comprises accommodation set either side of an atrium space which runs the length of the building.


Newport University Campus

The University of Wales, Newport opened its new multi-million pound campus in Newports city centre on the 10 January 2011, and the campus was officially opened by Sir Terry Matthews on the 16 March 2011. The campus is part of a major redevelopment of Newports City Centre, which will see significant improvement in the area.

City Campus is situated on the banks of the River Usk and is the first phase of an intended 50m development for the University. Initially it will house 2,700 students from the Newport Business School and design, film and media elements of the Newport School of Art, Media and Design, signalling a return of the School to the centre of the city.

The building, completed on budget and ahead of schedule at the end of 2011, marks a proud moment for the University and a return to the heart of the city.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr Peter Noyes called it 'one of the proudest days in the history of the University.'

Dewstow school

It cost Monmouthshire County Council 7m and this school of the future doesnt so much have classrooms but what it calls 'learning plazas' - an open plan format which promotes:

A fully flexible learning environment which meets the vision for Monmouthshire County Council to raise standards of achievement and 21st Century learning. It is probably the UK's most advanced school.

Complete refurbishment of Helmont house, Cardiffs 3rd highest building, formally head quarters of British Gas, we split the building down the middle, one side all commercial sub let offices, the other a Premier Inn hotel, complete removal of all services and the installation of all new, installation of backup generator to provide life services, fire alarms, sub main distribution, data, lighting and small power.
